    Couple random thoughts:

    1. I’m going to lose my mind if and when the NY media and BBWAA really fight Altuve on his HOF bid. I know it’s far off but his culpability is no worse than any 1st ballot HOFer in the steroid era who did nothing (see Jeter).

    2. I don’t see them doing this, but NYY should slot Torres at 2B and make a run at Correa for SS. I don’t think they will, but also won’t rule it out.

I rather try for 3 than stay at 2.

    YULI

Why the **** would you send Correa with 1 out and a wet track? Solid play by Gardner and the relay guy.

ALL YOUR LHP ARE BELONG TO ALEDMYS

He's healthy. He's been very good with the Stros when he's been healthy.

Straw is actually making some decent contact as of late. By no means do I think he’s going to be a stud, but if he can just be a decent hitter, his speed is huge. Just wish Dusty would put him 9th instead of 8th to hopefully put speed on for the top of the order.

I think in theory you hit him 8th to give him a chance to run without taking the bat out of the leadoff hitter's hands for a pitch or 2. Plus there's always the situational bunt him over option, where he scores from 2B on almost any single, or 3B on almost any flyball. I dunno, though. Would love to hear Dusty's actual thinking on that.

Yeah I can see that coming into play, not forcing your lead off guy to take pitches to let Straw have his chance.

Sometimes it just is best not to know what goes on inside Dusty's mind.
