Wow! Ryiuchi Sakamoto. Haven't thought of him in years. I still have an old promo album of Left Handed Dream from my record store days. Everyone I worked with were older hippies who hated punk and new wave so I got all of the good promo stuff like this album. I used to take a lot of flak for playing this album in the store. LOUD.
jo, My older sister used to be obsessed with both Bob Smith and Siousxie. I think she eventually grew tired of the Cure once they went down the "Friday, I'm in Love" road but she always seemed to stay with Siouxsie. She even would go as far as try to look like her by putting on similar makeup to try to achieve Siouxsie's iconic look. I remember one day we went walking down our neighborhood and she was dressed like Siouxsie and our neighbors were gawking and staring at us (or really her) like we were from outer space.
F dumbass neighbors! If anyone, anywhere, wants to roll like Siouxsie, they're awesome in my book! Good for your sister (even if this was years ago)!
