crazy. @davidio840 are you still holding? where is this headed? edit: bought a few shares at $23 to join the excitement haha
3 wks ago, sold a May 21 25/20 PUT spread; it is now in-the-money after the news broke that MVIS is now the most talked-about stock in the WSB community---replacing GME---just bought a calendar CALL spread bto Jan 2013 35 strike CALL sto May 21 35 strike CALL the implied volatility on MVIS options is >212%, crazy indeed !
After the official announcement or after the official split? Seems like APPL and TSLA dumped right after the split date.
Proofpoint acquisition will kick off 'massive' software M&A spree, says Wedbush https://seekingalpha.com/news/36855...ck-off-massive-software-ma-spree-says-wedbush Any smaller/promising IT security stocks that will be m&a targets? FEYE? PING?
the actual tanking most likely take place after the actual split. but, after the official announcement (B4 the actual split) you can short when the stock is still trading at a higher price, before the tanking begins
I’m pulling slowly into a long time position on TAP. I’m up around 8% and going to slowly triple my position in the coming month. I think the next 3-4 + year outlook is promising.
I sure am, I sold quite a bit when it was at $24 but I still have a couple thousand shares right under $2 average. It will be interesting to see what is said on the 29th. They have been saying they will reveal updates on their Lidar and everyone is of course waiting for buyout. The balance of my shares will be there until a buyout, if/when that happens but Sharma has been saying they are actively trying to sell the company or sell of segments of their technology for about a year now. Apparently they have bidding going on, but that is mostly speculation.
The sqeeze is squozing after it has already been squeezed to the ultimate squizzle, gotta love the meme stocks and the Wall Street casino!!!
Why is it squatzing though? So violently. After hours. Someone BIG get margin called? The rest of us gonna take the hit tomorrow because of it? Squitzing so hard.
No it's not even close to the squeeze, just some bullish news and perhaps new volume and lack of shorts. Apparently S Korea is now joining the cause. If the shorts actually start to cover it will be insane, retail owns well over 100% of the float.
Ping is a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader, which I feel bodes well for their future across the Enterprise. https://www.pingidentity.com/en/res...alyst-reports/gartner-iam-magic-quadrant.html Not sure how that translates into an acquisition but C-Suite execs love that kind of thing and I’ve been holding and accumulating for about a year. Okta seems to be the more loved Identity and Access Management stock out there. Jamf Software has been on a bit of an M&A streak recently but they’ve been acquiring smaller private outfits (NoMAD, Digita Security, Mondada and part of CmdSec, building out their own security stack for their Jamf Pro MDM service. Their product integrates with Ping, Okta and Microsoft Azure so they’re probably alright with the status quo. Speaking of managing Apple devices (JAMF), it is worth watching what Apple does with respect to acquisitions. They are notorious for being tight-lipped to the point it is detrimental to their Enterprise customers so it’s hard to say what they are thinking, but they acquired FleetSmith last year. They could be developing FleetSmith to compete head-to-head with Jamf Software where Apple could offer its Enterprise customers a “native” solution for device management. I could see them offering this as a subscription service or as part of a bundle that included Enterprise Support, Professional Services, and even some kind of discounted hardware offering.
heh yea. i bought a whopping 5 shares last week. I mean how could you not when its routinely not moved at all as the market swings.
Man....... Lol, now I think we can all agree I reallllllly ****ed up on mvis. I was looking at old orders I had bought shares at 0.278 4/22/20 I even had multiple orders in/out starting 4/14/20 I know I'd have sold before it hit this but yeah... Woooooo. Let's not look at any of the other stocks I mentioned back then either. I'm not taking credit for mvis since I know davidio840 was in it before me but I did all kinds of awesome stuff. I don't know what I was thinking.
I had no idea that Taptica rebranded to Tremor International. They are not one of the top-tier mobile ad networks so I'm surprised they're even public. Yeah they will take a significant hit on their IOS side of the business from the IOS 14.5 update that came out today. One of the thought leaders in the mobile marketing industry predicted a 7% hit to FB's revenue back in Jan 2021 if you want one data point. TRMR isn't massively overvalued like Skillz was at its peak but I certainly would not go long it and would look to short it if it kept running up in the near term. https://mobiledevmemo.com/facebook-may-take-revenue-hit-from-apple-privacy-changes/
Just completed a reverse split, new ticker BYRND, inching closer to uplist. Lots of stuff popping all over the place.
