    we probably have not had a governor in this country who killed someone since the 1800's!

    you go girl!

    it is bizarre that shes a republican, considering how anti-trans they are as a party.

    She probably figures she doesn't have a chance as a Democrat. What's going to be interesting is seeing how much support she gets from the far right. They're going to have to decide if they hate her more than Gavin Newsome.

    That said CA has a non-partisan blanket primary so it's possible given her fame she could win.

    im pretty sure shes been a life-long republican. im guessing its got more to do with fiscal policy than social.

    it would be interesting to see a trans woman as governor of the most populous state. ill be curious to hear her policy platform. if she can position herself as a fiscal conservative/social liberal a'la arnold schwarzenegger she might be able to make some noize out there.

    Caitlyn is actually as much a "hero" for monetizing her medals and paving the way for Olympians no longer being exploited as she is for helping normalize transitions by being as accomplished and reasonably well-adjusted a model as possible; but this feels like a desparate last grab for attention or another reality pilot.
