No matter how you look at it, this is a major fail by the Rockets front office to not identify this guy. Incredibly disappointing.
Well you gotta remember he got like 10 mins a game last year, averaged 4 pts and 3 rebs and was injured this year. Yeah its disappointing but Rox were just unlucky they got Kurucs over Claxton. Cant really blame an org for not identifying a dude they couldnt see play.
good point but otoh shouldn't great organisations have more intel on players then what is available to the public eye?
I agree but you dont expect Rox to install spy cams in the Nets practice facility right? Harden only asked for a trade this summer so the Rox wouldnt pay attention to all hidden prospects of all 30 NBA teams lets be real.
he has to be the starter soon with the way he’s playing...DJ too often plays like he has cement feet on defense this guy is switching onto skilled guards and forwards and holding his own with regularity
Claxton needs to tithe 10% of his future earnings to the Church of the Everlasting Beard and all its bountiful mercies.
There were a couple other impressive plays in the last two minutes: He locked Cory Joseph down in the paint as Cory kept trying and failing to get around him and to the basket. And he had a clutch offensive board in the last 30 seconds. But here with the game on the line he sticks with Cory Joseph again and forces him to attempt a pumpfake, avoids fouling, and recovers in time to contest the brick. Now the whole internet ******** on Cory lmao. But this is amazing clutch defense.
Nic Claxton has the best job in the world man. He gets to play with all of his childhood idols, and every week there's a new one walking through the door.
Imagine you're just entering the league and you're surrounded by future Hall of Famers to mentor you. At least some teams out there were keeping a close eye on this kid since last year, food for thought.
I cant believe how good this kid looks. How the hell does the corpse of deandre jordan play this much
Got his first start today. Look at how he moves for a 7 foot center. Gets the block then takes it coast to coast for the And-1 like a guard.
