Whether Curry can carry a team or not, he obviously is trying to. He took 20 or more shots in 9 of the last 10 games. And for the one game he didn't take 20+ shots, he took 19 and shot 13 FTs. He is second in FGA per game.

Which is exactly why some aren't giving Curry a lot of credit at the moment. Trying to discount his supporting cast, which is not bad, is hogwash. Curry is not playing with bums, but even if he were, going lotto is a failure.

His team is .500. Typically stars on .500 teams don't get a lot of credit. If you need an example, see the year Harden was left off the All-NBA teams for finishing 8th.

Looks like an injury prone player needs to stay on the court and help his team win.

Are we at the point of Curry's streak where reporters start to downplay his achievements as boring or routine yet?

Something tells me we're not going to see any writing like this in regards to Curry's hot streak:

Morants team has the same amount of wins with MORE TALENT plus Steph has missed 8 games. Y'all really are idiots... and it's funny because we've watched all of the fans who weren't objective when it comes to Harden's teams because they hated him but our fans deserved it.

Most of this thread is just further proof on what's wrong with debating NBA basketball. Lack of objectivity....

This thread should be renamed "wekko vs the world."

    Reminds me of this:

1-7 without Curry kind of undercuts the argument that this Warriors team is pretty good even without him. For comparison, 1 out of 8 wins is about the pace the Rockets have achieved since Harden decided to bail.

Curry’s shooting barrage the last several games is I believe the most prolific streak of 3-point shooting in NBA games ever. He’s further solidified his case as the greatest shooter in NBA history, and one of the greatest all-around scorers as well.

    28-22 is not impressive

If we're going to play the 1-7 angle, then we should also note that "the most prolific streak of 3-point shooting ever" has only produced a 6-5 record.

We will never agree then, because you think his supporting cast isn’t bad and that I am discounting them wrongly.

I think the supporting cast is objectively bad.

    The streak I was referring to was the last 6 games in which he's made 8, 10, 11, 4, 11, and 10 3s. 5-1 record.

7-4 in last 11 games Curry has played (since coming back from his injury).

The hardest thing for sports fans to say, “I was wrong”. You all said he couldn’t carry a team and he is, and the defense is literally just out to stop him... not as crazy as the harden double teams but still insane. And this team is not good... if they are tell me the teammates he has that would start on a contender

But continue using whatever examples you guys have had that support your narrative

To be fair, Harden's 8 games with our squad was 2-6. Even if we discount the last 5 games when he was dogging it, the first 3 games when he scored 44, 34, and 33 points was 1-2.

All these are small samples. Doesn't really prove anything. I do think that the talent level of GS without Curry is somewhat comparable to Houston without Harden.
