Rockets need to move/move on from House, Wall/EGo, otherwise not much room for the 3 FRP and/or key FA signings.

If KO not re-signed, this roster is going to be Wood + a million 6'5 players again.

Would love to draft one of the top 4 guards then trade up for Scottie Barnes. Especially if we end up with Green.

    Long term:
    KPJ, Green, Tate, Barnes, Wood

    Wall/DJ, Gordon, Nwaba, KJ, Olynyk

Alternatively we pick up Mobley and move up for Moodey ‍♂️

    Long term:
    KPJ, Moodey, Tate, Mobley, Wood

When people see the quality of basketball after the 1sr month it may mean about the same amount of fans in the stands as now.

There were a few of us who wondered this very same thing.

Could have used him when Wood went down, that is for sure.

Ok ok ok.. hear me out.

I know this may be a bit of schtick.. but im going for it anyway.

We trade our two late picks PLUS the Wizards pick PLUS John Wall to the CAVs for Kevin Love and their FRP this year.

Cavs could use a vet guard to right their ship and *hopefully* steer their young guys in the right direction (that would be the idea anyway). Have Wall and Garland work the 1, Sexland as an undersized two, Okoro (who im massive on BTW) as the 3, Nance at the 4 and Allen at the 5.
Thats 3 big young peices you want to work on (Garland, Okoro and Allen), and you can find some VERY good role players late in this draft.

For us. We keep a vet presence in LOVE and move KPJ to the PG spot full time. I would use the Cavs pick to draft Scottie Barnes if hes still there and play behind Love for a bit (until Love innevitably injures himself and sits a bunch of games).
With our pick we keep (please please please) id take Green or Suggs.

Without other off season moves your looking at:
    KPJ/DJ
    Green (or Suggs)/Gordon
    Tate/KJ
    Love/Barnes
    Wood

I cant stand Kevin Love but this idea has merit.

But would it really take BOTH of Rockets late FRP to make this trade happen?

I'd argue that Love's contract is almost as much of an albatross as Wall's.

I toyed with a few different scenarios. I still think Love has slightly more value than Wall, so you use the pick you got in the Wall trade for Love. A slight over pay, thats made up by a slight under pay of trading #22 + #24 for like.. #7. Could throw House in too.. i dunno..

Ok.. would Ego and House net us Barton (just for the money really.. ) and #25 in this years draft?

I think Gordon fits well with the Nuggets team. Will take on the defensive guard issues. And im a big believer in having vet role players on young teams.

(Will also help with my Tankathon return haha)

NERLENS NOEL should be considered as a target, maybe 26m/4years

Nerlens Noel’s contracts the past few years

    1 year, 3 mil
    1 year, 4 mil
    2 year minimum
    1 year minimum
    1 year, 5 mil

Then here come the Rockets swooping in with a 4/26 deal? Why?

U didn't watch his playing. What was Wood's contracts the past few years? Why did Stone give Wood 43m/3years deal? Did u think Stone crazy?

I've been saying this for a few weeks.

And then I see mock drafts of the Rockets picking players like Cam Thomas.

Just not enough room for all these guards. Add Augustin and Avery Bradley (player option)

except Noel is a 7 year player who’s established what he is and what he’s worth and not someone who just came on the scene last year showing borderline All-Star potential like Wood so that’s a bad example

Maybe u can say Wood a borderline All-Star potential now , but last year? Maybe u was more smarter than all NBA GM. Nobody gave a offer 20m/year to a borderline All-Star potential,it was too bad!

Wood averaged 21, 9, and 2 as a starter last year...

it was common knowledge that he was pretty good

I know GM’s don’t hand 4 year deals over to the likes of Nerlens Noel

No doubt. But unlike the NFL......many of these contracts like Wall, Eric Gordon, Augustin, House are guaranteed.

Avery Bradley may have partial money on that team option. Sorry I may have posted player option in earlier post.

And you do understand Tilman is the owner.......not going to flush money down the drain to clear roster spot
to make room for add on roster player.

Rockets will try to be involved in Sign-n-Trades dealing with Exum, Nwaba, Sterling Brown......Olynyk if he is priced out of our range and we (Rockets) can't re-sign him. But the other team doesn't have to deal with us.

Noel turned down 70m/4y offer 4 years ago, He couldn't get any long contract, it was him and his agents overrated his value, but u can see his advanced stats. he is only 26 years, I believe he can do what Capera has done, u can believe what u believe. its so so.
