All depends on the timing.... This offseason would be more expensive than the next deadline which would be more expensive than trading him with only $47 mil left.

B-b-b-b-b-but I was told Chris Paul had the worst contract in the league!!!

You mean to tell me the Houston Rockets owner cannot judge these sorts of things!? Heaven help us all!

What he said about Silas is 100% correct. What exactly has he done this season to counter that narrative? Effort level of the team lacks for exactly one quarter of every game...can’t tell you which one because it varies from game to game. Rarely, if ever, have we seen the team (under this coach) bust their tails for 4 quarters. Get sooo tired every game hearing Murphy say they need to give more effort....that’s coaching. No doubt, Silas has a brilliant offensive mind, but there is more to coaching than just being a good offensive coordinator. Defense, motivation, leadership, etc. are areas he needs to be graded out on as well.

It makes me sick that if we would have kept Paul, we probably still would have had Harden, and Morey, and possession of our 1st rounder, and be one of the top teams in the league.

Yep, not for this team, he's a Robin, an Oladipo...

Rest assured, Paul is still right up there. He's just happening to be catching a third wind with another young ascending team, it'll be over soon...

If we don't land the top 4 pick this year in the draft, it will go down as the undisputed worst trade in the history of the franchise and maybe even the city.

Harden wanted Westbrook but he was okay that the trade wasn't going to happen. Tilman pushed the trade through which is why we gave up so much.

Thought I would repost my thoughts from the original post. This kid is heading in the wrong direction and we’ve all seen this story play out before. I know, I know.....the naysayers will say there is absolutely nothing wrong with going to strip clubs, getting high/hammered, and hanging out until 7am on game days but I disagree and feel that it’s not too much to ask million dollar players for just a slight bit of commitment to their profession on game days. Go wonder why Porter’s effort lacks at times....tough to be sharp and on your game with a hangover.

We let Harden get away with it now everyone is following. Social media is roasting us about the strip clubs

the guys who are hungry and want to get better spend more time after hours working on their game than partying. If this kid is not doing that, then we have good reason to be concerned. Harden partied hard but he worked on his game harder.

Well said....Harden was a rarity. Most players who go down this path ultimately end up playing for multiple teams and failing long term (Ty Lawson, etc.) You’d never find Curry, James, Bryant, MJ, Bird, Magic, Gia, Kawhi, etc. doing this crap the day of the game. They have professionalism and respect for their jobs. Not sure, as well, what half the team being out drunk in the wee hours of the morning (of a game day) says about our wonderful coaching staff. Just another sad, depressing lowlight for this struggling organization.

Nah. Not as bad as the Hopkins trade, but still terrible.

yep if tilman, morey, and mda put their foot down on 2017 then rockets would have won 73 games easy

This was almost a calendar year ago. Just saying. Nothing new. Nothing to do with Jalen Green. And he had a very good statistical game during the course of this discussion so not just knee jerking after a bad game.

    Just observations

Maybe it seemed like nitpicking at the time. Honestly he was playing better back then. Here was one of several posts I made. To his credit, he improved his 3 point shot and his handle since I made this post although it’s still mostly a lot of fancy dribbling around that doesn’t result in enough getting to the basket.
