They genuinely arent able to think that strategically. "No compromise, no mater what", which has recently become a conservative mantra across the board, has been the NRA crowd's operating principle for decades.

Theyre going to try and hold the line right up until the dam breaks.

Sounds like the type who shouldn't be given bail, and certainly shouldn't have a gun.

Broderick might have a background in law enforcement but did not confirm.

Records show Broderick, a former Travis County sheriff's office detective, is charged with sexual assault of a child. Broderick was booked into jail in June and spent 16 days behind bars prior to posting bail, which was set at $50,000.

I learned way too much today about this "Brony" My Little Pony cult than I would have liked because of the FedEx shooting. It seems like everything weird that becomes evil always seems to start on 4Chan.

We’re helpless against gun violence but somehow really creative at combating things like voter fraud.

We have far more restrictions relating to firearm ownership than voting.

Amen brother. Even in a gun rights state like Texas it takes a minimum of 15 mins to purchase a gun from the time I walk up to the counter.

it takes less than 2 minutes to confirm my ID and get my printed ticket.

As it should be. Voter fraud is 0008% in the last 15 years in Texas, and is practically non existent. There is no reason why everyone shouldn't be allowed to absentee vote, if they are certified in advance.

We should loosen voter laws and make gun laws stricter. People die every day from guns in Texas. Far too many.

233 mass shootings this year already. Enough is enough.

Why are Republicans so hell bent on ignoring the fact that this is a problem? Next we will have a condolences section in the greeting cards aisle for school shootings, workplace shootings, etc...

Mass shootings are a problem Deb. Not sure how that helps. You could make guns illegal like heroin and they will still find their way into the hands of criminals.

They would. No doubt organized crime has and will continue to have illegal firearms.

But when we talk gun reform, we generally recognize that the goal is making it harder, not impossible. Knowing that we at best can reduce gun violence, not end it completely. We accept reality.

Just say "no" to the gun industry and their enablers rather from the ordinary gun nuts to the ones on the S.Ct. who created the right for every gun nut to have military weapons.

Well maybe it will help keep them out of the hands of the ones who are just short tempered, mentally ill, and negligent with storing them and letting them get in the hands of their kids.

I just wonder how far the GOP will go. Will cannons, bazookas and rocket launchers be next on their approved list?

You know 90 percent of mass shootings are committed with hand guns, right?

We should redefine mass shooting as any weapon discharging more than 3 projectiles in a 24 hour time frame.

    This will fix the issue.
