The Democrats' polices are not popular. At all. Which is why they have to distract from policy positions to win. If the Democrats actually discussed their policies, then they'd lose in a landslide.

McConaughey would be a useful distraction for them. I hope he runs. He'll still lose though.

    GOOD DAY

It's sad that a policy of equality for all isn't popular.

Equality of opportunity is extremely popular. Equality of outcomes is not. Agree?

I stand for equality of opportunity and always have.

Equal rights for all SHOULD be popular and bipartisan, but, unfortunately isn't.

If those policies weren't popular, then the Republicans wouldn't be talking about Dr. Seuss, Mr. Potato Head, and Neanderthals.

Yep, the irony of talking about "useful distractions" is amusing

Cuomo can eat a dick. That doesn’t a change anything about Texas’ incompetent leadership.

    Abbott's killed
Abbott's getting close to 50,000 dead Texans, and he will get there sooner than later with his "opening up to 100%". That's enough basis for me.

If he were to take the plunge and run for governor, the poll found, 45% of Texas registered voters would vote for McConaughey, 33% would vote for Abbott and 22% would vote for someone else.

McConaughey’s double-digit lead over the two-term Republican incumbent is significant. The poll, conducted April 6-13, surveyed 1,126 registered voters and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.92 percentage points.

But 56% of Republican voters said they’d vote for Abbott, compared with only 30% for McConaughey.

While Democrats broke 66% to 8% for McConaughey, and independents 44% to 28%, more than twice as many Democratic primary voters — 51% — said they wanted a progressive candidate for governor than wanted a centrist — 25%.
