Ha! My next example was teachers. They do have a thankless job. Another sector that is highly underpaid and filled with inept expectations. If you really think giving out free coffee to keep a continuous presence of law enforcement as a perk ... imma call you a sucker.
I am a teacher and we are thanked all the time. If you want accolades why are you in the teaching or policing fields in the 1st place. Cops get much more free than a cup of coffee, I know some that never pay for lunch and could never pay for dinner if the wanted to. You are all over the place, at first you claimed police get poverty wages which has shown to be totally false and not they don't get any accolades which is also false, Just take a look how many facebook pages are dedicated to cops. I agree teachers are underpaid and have inept expectations but you don't see us beating up kids or failing them arbitrarily because we don't get any love. I wish Cops were judged like teachers and were under the same scrutiny and disciplinary.
How gets that kind of pay without any college at all **** that last one does not even require a high school diploam a GED would do . . .and when say . .your buddy's son who has a GED and a seal juvenile record needs a job why not hook him up . . . . what is there to stop it? Good Money if you can get it Rocket River
Expecting more for a minimum wage employee than cops is never a good thing Do you think those employees severely thought the trained police officers would react like that? What are these Cops or Pitbulls. . . if you Sic'em on someone . . .expect it to not go well for the person??? Rocket River
We expect the police to be a leatherman/Swiss army knife, when in reality a lot of them are just hammers (or are trained and equipped to be hammers) ... And so we wonder why every problem ends up getting treated like a nail.
I don't know about other places but I 100% can say that compared to Europe, Americans are MUCH more respectful and nice to police officers. Look how they answer with "yes sir" even when they are chocking them with the knee on their neck and all follow what they tell them even if there's no reason. Look how even when there is video of cold blood murder by police half the public immediately excuses and supports them. Look how they can get away with everything. It's mindblogging. If to be a police officer in america is a thankless job then what is in Europe? Where people call you pig, yell at you all the time, they have no fear of being shot or die or even tasered for resisting arrest so it happens all the time to break a police officer's arm or nose when fighting? Oh and if a police officer even kills an unarmed citizen? Then the whole country will have riots and burn down and the police officer will end up in jail with murder with no union protection. I have spoken to police officers some times and I never once said to them " yes sir" or be compliant like I am speaking to some king like you all do. I wasn't rude but I know my rights and there is no need to fear them. I hardly know any other nation in the west at least that is as nice to police officers as americans are.
https://www.reporterherald.com/2021...hing-over-her-arrest-in-newly-released-video/ In newly released surveillance video footage that Schielke posted to the Life and Liberty Law Office YouTube page, Hopp can be seen laughing with other LPD officers when re-watching his body camera footage from her arrest. He can be seen early on fist-bumping Jalali over the arrest. The 14-minute “compilation” video includes video footage of the booking area where LPD officers worked as well as where Garner was being held. The full hour-long surveillance footage from the LPD booking area can also be found on the Life and Liberty Law Office YouTube as well. Early in the video, Blackett can be heard asking if Hopp read Garner her Miranda rights when arresting her. “Nope,” he responds. “I did not.” Later in the released footage, the officers are seen re-watching Hopp’s body-camera footage together while laughing about the incident. As Hopp watches his body-camera footage, he can be heard laughing and “celebrates” with Jalali and Blackett. In the video, Jalali can be heard saying that “bodycams are my favorite thing to watch.” Just minutes later she can be seen pulling her hat down over her face saying “I hate this.” “This is great,” Hopp responds. “Ready for the pop? Hear the pop?” Hopp can be heard saying in the video in regards to the alleged dislocation of Garner’s shoulder. According to the release, Garner was handcuffed to a bench just 10 feet away from them. “This horrific statement comes to light after Ms. Garner’s family hired a sound engineer to enhance the audio on Loveland Police station booking videos from the day of Karen’s arrest,” the release said. “It is not the only grotesque revelation to come from these booking station videos.” According to the release, during the first hour Garner was in custody she can be heard saying “they hurt my shoulders” 22 times, “they hurt my wrists” 13 times, “they keep hurting” eight times and “it hurts” eight times as well. Garner was allegedly not given any medical treatment while at the LPD. The release also included several new allegations against the department and its members. It says that a BlueTeam report was filed when Garner was arrested, a system that alerts the department and creates an official record whenever force was used in an arrest. Ticer has previously said when an incident occurs that requires any use of force beyond just handcuffing and arresting it is reported into the BlueTeam system, which is then sent through a supervisory review within the department as well as with the assistant city attorney. Ticer said April 16 that the BlueTeam system was implemented after Garner’s arrest, but the department at the time did not have “information about injury.” Ticer said department officials did not learn about the woman’s injuries until the lawsuit was filed and information posted online. However, Ticer said when the department was notified of Garner’s “serious bodily injury” when the case was filed the department toon “immediate action” to review and investigate the incident. “Well, regardless, BlueTeam has it,” Hopp can be heard saying in the booking area surveillance video. “I used force, so.” The new release also alleges that Metzler, the supervisor on scene when Garner was arrested, knew she was injured and authorized that she be kept in a cell without medical evaluation or treatment back at the department, “even coming through to check on the status of the report writing and knowing (Garner) was still locked away and injured mere feet away,” the release says. Hill, another supervising officer who has also been added to the complaint, allegedly came through the booking area while Garner was being held and personally reviewed Hopp’s affidavit describing his use of force. She allegedly notarized it, laughed and “joined in on jokes that were being made regarding Ms. Garner’s age and small size, her injuries, and the fact that the hobble (hog-tie) used on her got her blood on it and so would ‘need to be washed,'” per the press release. On Sunday, an amended complaint was filed for the excessive force lawsuit, adding Hill and Blackett as defendants for their “failure to intervene or provide medical care to Ms. Garner.” “Loveland knew. They’ve known all along,” Schielke said in the release. “They failed Karen Garner. They failed the community. And they did it all on camera. Do you realize how horrifying that is? That means they were used to getting away with it. That the comfortable norm in Loveland is one of zero accountability. That this is not just some ‘isolated incident.’ It is not just one single ‘problem.’ It is widespread, sociopathic criminality. And to attempt to shift the burden to Karen, or a bystander, or her family, or counsel, to report this? Shame on you, Loveland. You took an oath to protect and serve. “This is a disgrace.” The Loveland police said in an early morning statement Monday that they would not be making any comments on the newly released footage and information. According to Tom Hacker, spokesman for the department, all matters related to Garners arrest are “subject to a criminal investigation” ordered by the Larimer County District Attorney’s office and conducted by the Fort Collins Police Services. “The District Attorney’s action and the third-party investigation are in keeping with a multi-agency Critical Incident Response Team protocol,” Hacker told the Reporter-Herald. “Independent comment from the Loveland Police Department would not be appropriate at this time. LPD has faith in the due process that this investigation allows for.”
LOL he said it went great, fist-bumped her, told her she did a great job, and then bragged that he thought she was tougher than the elderly women. Her response - "I just didn't want you to think I was not acting". Jesus ****ing christ, that video should get them fired. Jam-packed of lunacy and extremely embarrassing admissions, What idiots Action starved, getting hyped from breaking a 73-year-old women bones. I hope they never serve again for the force after this.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again, a lot of police officers are demonic...they have no soul People want to focus on the number of citizens they kill, but what about the countless people they brutalize while getting it swept under the rug? How many people have they beaten down, and then they lie and claim some nonsense like they were “resisting arrest?” Where are the statistics for that? amazing that people still think a cop’s word means sh*t
I'm sick just reading the article. I don't know how I will feel watching the actual video. I'll probably lose it.
For me, it almost seems like a satirical comedy scene, everything that could make them look bad, they did.
"In the video, Jalali can be heard saying that “bodycams are my favorite thing to watch.” Just minutes later she can be seen pulling her hat down over her face saying “I hate this.” “This is great,” Hopp responds. “Ready for the pop? Hear the pop?” Hopp can be heard saying in the video in regards to the alleged dislocation of Garner’s shoulder. According to the release, Garner was handcuffed to a bench just 10 feet away from them." These aren't people they are straight up beasts. How sadist you have to be to rewatch the video and enjoy and laugh about the abuse of a senile old person? And celebrate breaking her bones like it is a highlight. Not only they aren't suited to be police to serve but these beasts are dangers to society. This is the behaviour of a psychopath who enjoys hurting and torturing the vulnerable.
Can you imagine a decent paying job with benefits in 2021 that requires zero experience and no college degree?
This line to me is devastating for any defense of the LEO, "“Ready for the pop? Hear the pop?” Hopp can be heard saying in the video in regards to the alleged dislocation of Garner’s shoulder. According to the release, Garner was handcuffed to a bench just 10 feet away from them." That tells me they knew she was injured and not only failed the standard of care but boasted of it. From what we know following the conviction of Chauvin LEO have to care about the safety of those in custody. This is a straight up admission they didn't. Besides any legal consequences this is disturbing are taking pleasure in injuring someone much weaker. I wouldn't tolerate that in martial arts or sports and especially from those who are sworn to "Protect and Serve"
