Irregular heart beat sounds scary. Has anyone had it before? Does that mean you can’t push yourself to do high-energy activities anymore? I haven’t googled anything yet, but if anyone has experience with a irregular heart beat, please do chime in.

What a shocker. In hindsight he should have never left the Blazers for the Spurs.

Good decision for him, putting his health first. He’s had a long career. He’ll probably be around the game still in some way

Wow, this came out of nowhere. Crazy.

Great player, remember him giving our twin tower lineup of Asik + Dwight line-up fits, no one could stop him.

May he have a happy retirement.

Damn man that sucks. I think if he'd gone to the Rockets back then when we needed it he would win a ring.

Back in 2007, LaMarcus Aldridge, then with the Portland Trailblazers, was experiencing dizziness during a game against the LA Clippers at the Rose Garden on March 31, 2007. After undergoing a series of tests at Providence St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Portland, Aldridge was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW). Shortly thereafter, he underwent a successful procedure addressing the issue by Dr. Daniel Oseran, which caused Aldridge to miss the final nine games of the season. Then in 2011, Aldridge suffered a recurrence, causing him to miss an additional ten days.

he also had a heart issue in 2017

You say that as if Portland has been more successful than the Spurs since LMA left. LMA signed a 4yr/80M contract to go play with Kawhi and the (old) Big 3 and under Pop. That's a dream scenario for any player, because you get to play with some of the best players ever and perhaps the best coach ever, all while earning a lot of money. Even by NBA standards.

I very much doubt LMA regrets leaving Portland for SA.

What the hell.... great player. Smart enough to hang them shoes. Health is most important thing right now, he gave it all to the sport I hope he can enjoy his family life as a young millionaire now

Man, I seriously feel bad for him. It must have been a seriously hard decision, but he made the right decision not just for himself but also his family.

    Best of luck to LaMarcus

Hope he's okay and lives a long and healthy life. He was a hell of a player and, of course, went to UT!

That said, with us having all of the Nets picks anything that hurts them is good for us.

Much respect, dislike this playing at all cost attitude that’s heralded and seen as competitive and proof of a winning mentality.

depending on what's causing the irregular heartbeat, it could cause things like blood clots that can lead to strokes. It's not a good thing. I assume they will get to the bottom of it and perform surgery. My buddy had it and the essentially burned some nerves that were misfiring.
