The preview for this ninth feature in the “Fast and Furious” franchise sees the crew trying to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena). Justin Lin returns to helm the film, while both Dan Casey and Chris Morgan pen the screenplay. Wait for the F&F/XXX crossover movie where Dom finds his long lost super spy twin, Xander. But wait...the after credits scene reveals that there’s a third twin...in space....
Maybe half. I like some but can’t sit through most of them I prefer these for mindless fun. And the more practical effects
The funny thing is, if you go back and watch the original, it is incredibly grounded (literally and figuratively). The main conflict is people hijacking 18 wheelers for their goods and the stunts involved. It was realistic enough that it was pretty much all done with practical effects. I'm a little worried they showed off every single money shot in that trailer. I hate it when studios do that. But I'm on board for this movie, for sure.
I love this series. I can't wait to watch. I turn off my brain for these movies and just enjoy the hell out of them.
F9 - The Refresh! I love how the more ridiculous these becamse, the more the critics started to like them as much as the audiences. WTF?
I LOVE this universe. This sh*t is so fun and ridiculous. It's crazy how this series gets crazier and crazier but it doesn't get action boring like Michael Bay's stuff.
was never into them. watched the first (it was aite) and the one with the 50 mile runway.. and the other with the tank(?). anyway, don't even remember the plot. just groot running around in a tank top talking about family.
So has The Rock officially divorced himself from this series? Or is he gonna try and do Hobbs and Shaw stuff and just not work with Vin Diesel? I know those two don't really get along.
i love the series. best collection of action movies ever for my money. somehow ridiculously over the top scenes but done just right so they land on the awesome side of the awesome/cheesy spectrum. never even seen 3 and 4, but that's the beauty of the series, you can just pick and choose which you watch and it doesn't really matter.
