I've never used a taser or had training on a taser but my understanding is that if someone is tazed anyone touching them will feel the shock. Yelling "taser! Taser! Taser!" was a warning for the other LEO to get clear so they don't get shocked.

    This, 100% of the time.

You take that job, you’re committing to being a paragon of virtue and patience. That’s why we need heavy background checks, deep psych evals and personality type profiling for every prospective police officer. All police should have a bachelor’s degree in CJ with a heavy emphasis on psychology. No more military members without the same requirements. Then you pay them more, stop prosecuting misdemeanors. Demilitarize the police completely. Make it a job to be proud of, not just scraping the dredges for repeat offenses to feed the police-prison industrial complex. Cops should be servant leaders of the community, not gestapo.

I was having a discussion with someone else in my field and it almost seems like as architects we are held to a higher professional standard than LE.

No way they would get a murder conviction.

Conaervative media sources are the ones doing it. We're just getting the trickle-down from the people who read them.

Perhaps. Or perhaps not. Either way he'd still be alive.

Yes, but the synapses still have to fire in the poster's brain to share the nonsense.

It's basically the type of story that would cause a huge stir in the BLM community if the victim were black.

Of course this is just surface level cultural war stuff that doesn't really prove or disprove the underlying thesis that the police treat minorities unfairly.

This is a nice aspiration. I don't think there are enough candidates to fill those shoes.
