@Rocket River Everyone is dead. There is to forgive or not. They wouldn't give a damn at this point. You're only holding yourself back with the anger
I don't think anyone present should feel guilty about African slavery today. However just to be clear African slavery in the US has effected a lineage of people that shows it's socioeconomic consequences today. That doesn't mean we as Individuals should feel guilty ourselves about it but rather we should be aware of the repurcussions.
There's also quite a bit one could feel guilty about that isn't as far away as slavery. We had segregation in the 50's & 60's, and of course, extreme overt racism didn't exactly end with law changes. A story that's hard to forget when it comes to guilt over racism comes from my families very own home town of Grand Saline TX https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_R._Moore_(minister) Between me and my wife, we are blessed to have 5 great-grandparents who are still living today, and of those 5, one who was born the same year as that minister in Grand Saline, and has lived her whole life there, another who was in the KKK shortly, and then 3 who grew up in segregation. A strong reminder that our past and its effects really isn't that far away.
You ain't been posting here long enough to talk **** about me being a Russian. Know your place. See I've been posting here long enough to know you haven't been here as long as the other who say that without looking to see when you joined. I remember when Madmax posted as much as anyone here and Rice Alumni Bigtexxx and Trader_Jorge regularly did their Midnight Express tag team rendition If you don't remember those days stfu about it
