.....that’s called discipline. Only person who’s ever yelled at a player on this team is John Wall. NEVER have seen our coaching staff do it. It’s all hugs and kisses. Challenge for anybody on this site to post one picture or video of our head coach getting mad at a player for anything whatsoever. FYI....him crying after 20 straight losses doesn’t count. Not looking for Silas to become Bobby Knight, but more like a Popovich who is friendly with players but knows when to get angry to get them back on track when their efforts lack.
KPJ is a 2nd year player who has less playing time than a normal 2nd year player. All of these are normal growing pains for a young player and then you add in he is playing for a crap team it's no wonder. I don't think KPJ is some kind of savior or even gonna be a great player but it's much too soon for nitpicking.
This team is tanking, there is absolutely no doubt. The Rockets are desperate in Needing to get a Lottery Pick. Is it Kevin Porter Jr fault, literally the whole team has a dont win agenda in trying to get a Top 4 pick. The Front Office and Coaching are on the same page. The Rockets need a Franchise Player in this years Draft to move forward and become a Playoff team again. Let it go guys, Kevin Porter Jr is more upset by the whole team not trying to win out the season. To me this years Experience is very valuable in terms of him not playing at all in the 2nd half of last season and this years 1st half of the season. He mustve missed 80 games. Give him time to learn basketball from these veterans on the team like DJ Augustine and Avery Bradley.
problem is that’s part or building a good culture. Players need to be held accountable regardless of the team record. You stop doing that and you end up like the Kings.
Im not really into judging anyone this season..its worthless... Hopefully next year we have a solid team that we can build on for the next 10 years..
KPJ shouldn’t need more motivation than the fact that he was recently given away by a team that invested a lot in him. If that doesn’t make you fight for your NBA life, I don’t know what will.
When we're talking about attitude, age should not be a factor. If so, an aggravating. It is cocerning and is the reason why a player that talented was a 30th pick and later traded for a 2nd round pick.
There are reasons for concern, no doubt despite his talent. He needs guidance in the off season. It's up to him to show maturity through discipline and hard work.
Considering the fact that John Lucas has rescued guys that are essentially on their deathbed amidst an ocean of crack and crack whores whilst being beaten or abandoned by their parents, I find that very unlikely.
Harden at least has the excuse of having to carry the entire team on his back on the offensive side. What is KPJ’s excuse?
I’m just going to start saving some of y’alls kneejerk reactions to show you off in 3-4 years from now. Clutchfans keeps overrating their ability to evaluate talent. none of you knows what he will be and if you think you can i can tell you that you know nothing.
This team is not tanking, nobody here is actively trying to lose, they are just a bad team full of young and immature players. Porter is one of them. Some of these guys will grow and get better, some of them won’t. Most of these dudes won’t even be around in a couple of years. The jury is still out on Porter. The talent is there for sure, but right now he’s not a very good all around player yet. I kinda think he will become one, but time will tell, and he’s got plenty of that being just 20 years old. I think people tend to forget how young he really is sometimes. He might not put it all together until years from now, and even if he doesn’t do it until then, he will STILL be young! You just have to keep it in perspective.
