Im not bored but i agree with what you're saying. there is no point for this to be an hour if you aren't going to fill the hour.

Agree. I want to love it, but it doesn't feel like great writing or showrunning. And being animated, I expect the plot to move faster (not the words I'm looking for, but hopefully you understand).

I wish it wasn't trickling out so slow too, lol.

Finally watched the first four episodes.

They spent the budget on celebrity voice actors. The animation itself is very low rent, it feels like there is missing music and the pacing is a bit off.

Still, it’s good so far. I hope they throw more money at the next season. Even Netflix makes nicer looking animated shows.

As for the actual plot moving, this is faster than the comics, iirc.

I had a hunch after the second episode about the motivation for the episode 1 twist. After reading up on the comic a bit, looks like I was right. It's pretty obvious, but I'm curious to see how it plays out.

When I hear Zazies voice I want to see Zazie, not a cartoon.

Still digging it even though it's tailed off a little bit, episode 5 battle was pretty sweet.

The agent that is always around Cecil looks like an older Bobby Hill.

Makes me want to read the comics and peek, but it's good enough that I'll hold off until the season ends.

Really enjoying this series. Find myself turning it on first thing Friday morning. Highly recommend.

Favorite show I'm watching... and I couldn't help myself.... I peeked a little into the Omni Man's secret....

..... what if Superman was like a Saiyan?

This was a very good episode. I still dont understand the need for all the gore.

This show reminds me of the show The Spectacular Spiderman, I just figured it out.

even when I kind of knew where the story was going I didn't even think to make that connection. This is spot on.

I wish I could take credit for it, but after watching youtube clips of Invincible the algorithm started to suggest more spoiler-ish videos which is where the connection was made. I didn't peek too far ahead but I feel like it's a refreshing take on the superhero genre even if the ideas aren't necessarily original.
Dragonball Z meets the DC Universe and I'm down

As for the gore, it makes me feel like the stakes are higher even though it's only a cartoon.

How much gore is there for this. I get more disgusted with animated gore vs. movie special effects.

This show and Solar Opposites are tops for their love with animated entrails and brain matter

There is A lot of gore when it's time to fight: severed limbs guts and crushed skulls type stuff. If there is a fight set piece, expect to see a lot of in your face grossness. other than the action, there is no egregious violence.

have you seen The Justice League cartoons? I feel the same stakes with little to no blood. It's the same action IMO. People really out here thinking this is different because someone is getting chopped in half?

Hawk Girl in Justice League cartoon had essentially the same arc as OmniMan except without all the guts.
