Haven't started watching it yet, but Ken Burns did a little 6 hour PBS documentary on Ernest Hemingway that's premiering this week.
Finished the Qanon miniseries on HBO. Gets better as it goes along. I think that director was really solid, and I’ll be looking out for future docs from him. He did a thread today about who he thinks the identity of original Q was....didn’t get into that in the doc. Spoiler
Oh yeah it was a tough watch for me because of all of the neo Nazi and white supremacist content. I must admit that I found both of the Watkins to be smug entitled pieces of horseshit. As for all the folks who bought into Q and his conspiracy theories, I am left with the impression that their mothers and fathers were either sister and brother or at the very least first cousins.
yeah Jim Watkins was repulsive within 15 seconds of airtime, and the more you see what Ron is all about, the more you see he’s just like his dad. Good doc though.
Just watched the pilot of Chad on TBS. Fscking brilliant! So cringeworthy yet so funny. I can see good things for this show.
Haven't watched it yet, but I thought something was odd about the commercials I saw...then it dawned on me "Is that Nasim Pedrad?" Then I looked it up, yep. Always thought she was quite hot in her SNL days, haven't really seen her since. Now 10 years later she's playing a HS boy and I feel weird about things.
Watched Nomadland. Thought it was great--directing, cinematography and Frances McDormand rightfully deserve their awards/nominations though the story. Also watched the Hulu documentary on WeWork. It was interesting.
Started This is a Robbery on Netflix. Netflix is so good at documentaries... I can't say I am big on art, but I am fascinated with the story.
Watched second episode of Chad. Not bad. Not great. I can see if they continue with the same schtick, we won't be seeing a season two. @Buck Turgidson ...wish you wouldn't have said anything about the actor playing Chad...I can't get that out of my head now.
