    Because you said:
    To which someone replied:
    To which you said:
So I ask you again, where were you in 1994? If you're not old enough to remember, then I can forgive your disdain for someone displaying loyalty to their team because you never had to live through this horror:

Dude I have been watching UH basketball since the Big 8 and watched The Rockets when they had Moses Malone so miss me with the age crap.

Simple fact Akeem did not win a title alone I misspoke that he did win it until Drexler but the Rockets had a very deep team.

So again why he had help on both championship teams.

I respect Dame for staying with the team that chose him from the start.... but he is no superstar.

These superstars are in fact pu**ies for running to their superstar friends but there is no ace in his hand to throw on this table of Royal Flushes:

    LeBron James
    James Harden
    Kevin Durant
    Steph Curry
    Giannis Antentekounmpo

So, Lillard needs more help to win. But also needs to shoulder some blame for their weak roster because he's been too loyal and hasn't called out the FO to make better moves.. Weird take imo. I do think Portland's been too content to just retool around Lillard instead of taking bigger swings, but to complain that Lillard doesn't publicly complain enough doesn't make sense.

Maybe all their moves so far have been with Lillards blessing?

Honest question, has a star player going public with complaints ever led to a positive roster move? By positive I mean the trade resulted in post season success.

what kind of logic is this. When did it become a player's job to complain to management before they are willing to make good roster moves. Isn't that their whole job to build a championship team

I don't have objective facts. But just from my impression, star players complaining of needing more help or making demand to the FO of getting certain players rarely resulted in improving the team. The only thing that helps is when the star player successfully recruited another superstar to join him.

It seems that players just aren't very good at evaluating what type of help they really need.

This, however, I think Lillard's steadfast loyalty has resulted in the Blazers' FO to be this lackluster. Like they should have moved CJ a long time ago. Sure his shooting is excellent but you need to find Lillard a Klay Thompson (e.g. a backcourt teammate that can knock down 3s AND defend).

I had to look up how long Olshey's been Portland's GM and, holy hell, if people here are saying that the Morey era was a massive disappointment I wonder what would they say about Olshey and his EIGHT years leading the Blazers to 1st Round exits pretty much every other year.

CJ is that "Klay" though basically. He does a lot of what you need in that supporting role. Portland's frontcourt has been a glaring weakness since LA left. That may be their biggest issue rather than the pairing of Dame/CJ. But it's also a problem when your best player isn't much of a defensive presence in any form or fashion

He's their Klay in the sense that he can score but that backcourt is severely limited in size and on the defensive end of the court. The front court is problematic for sure that I agree there. I think it's more of them not being able to stay healthy than an issue with talent. if Nurkic can just stay on the court they would have a solid frontcourt with him, Covington, etc.

Health yeah is an issue but the thing with Nurkic is he adds that defensive liability on a not so good defensive team to begin with

their defense is as solid as swiss cheese and historically bad. but what do you expect when your rotation consists of mccollum, lillard, kanter, and melo

CJ does not play defense which is what is so valuable about Klay it allows GS to hide Curry.

But I agree with the rest.
