He's 26, which is slightly older than I thought. Based on what I saw in OKC: 6'8, mostly scores off his jumper. Can make simple reads and passes. Kind of a chucker. Not really a threat with a live dribble, but can attack a closeout and score off a runner/floater. Doesn't really contribute much outside scoring.

I'm not sure what he does better than the average rotation wing. That being said, the Rockets are definitely lacking average rotation wings, and he can probably do more than whatever McLemore was doing, so why not.

Do we really want to be that team just taking a flyer on any scrub that’s available? The team that’s recycling scrubs and G-League caliber players?

at least people aren’t mentioning Anthony Bennett on here I guess

Picking him up and seeing if there is anything there over the last month or so of the season doesn't seem like a horrible plan. Low cost even if there is likely no reward. the local kid part probably gets me to yes were I Stone.

He's got talent and size at the 3. Which is something the Rockets haven't had in years.

Cant hurt to take fliers on guys like this in a lost season.

Could possibly be another Josh Jackson type guy you get off the scrap heap that can contribute. What can it hurt?

Justin Jackson has already established himself as a fringe NBA player at best. Who’s next? The corpse of Anthony Bennett and Jabari Parker?

Too old. I'd rather take a gamble on some 21-22 year old kid somewhere in the G League. Or even a 25 year old in the mold of a Tate or Beverley that proved themselves overseas.

I remember when Jackson & Oubre were the best high schoolers in the city of Houston. There was a debate of who was better.

He's not that young, and doesn't really do anything well.

Being a local boy doesn't change that.

I never was a big Oubre guy. Doesn’t ever looks like he’s enjoying playing but he has the talent to get paid so What the hell? . But NO I don’t think he’s a $70 million ball player.

it would be great to have a great coach and a reliable system that makes these borderline nba players good when we get them on the cheap...
