Good catch. I almost forgot about him. Wall was very hyped coming out of college. He never lived up to that. One main reason is his lack of a consistent outside shot.

IIRC, he was Mr. Basketball and Mr. Football in Minnesota his senior year, and won state championships in both.

Whoever drafts him will hear the announcers mention about him being a football standout EVERY SINGLE time until he retires. :D Remember Budinger and volleyball?

And he’s still talking about fit. For this garbage team. Which is spectacularly silly. Best player available. You have no cornerstone currently.

BPA for sure. I like the idea of Cade or Mobley if the Rox get a top 4 pick, then trading up with the remaining 2021 draft picks and a future first for Mitchell. Cade/Mitchell/KPJ is a group of versatile wing players that you can build around. Wood/Mobley/Mitchell/KPJ is a talented group with length, athleticism, projectability. Feels like a win regardless of which way it goes, as long as the ping pong balls allow the Rox to keep their top 4 pick.

Wall was athletic i never saw him as an all around floor general like Suggs (i mean dude was mr football as a qb - he's got some special sauce especially between the ears)

Wall never received J Kidd comparisons

Why do you assume that I am against drafting Suggs? I was responding to the post that said shooting was easy to improve. There are a lot of high draft picks that never improve their shooting.

    Westbrook #4
    Rubio #5
    Wall #1
    Exum #5
    Simmons #1
    Fultz #1
Morant #2 (too early to tell)

If the rockets dont get the #1 pick, and wolves get the 1st Cade will be gone. If you look at the best 2 on the board it will be Suggs and Mobley. So would you like to be a better offensive team big time with Suggs(Assist Ratio like a Jason Kidd) or Better at Both with Mobley(Chris Bosh). I think Wood can focus on his fundamentals knowing he not the #1 with both these players.

So, maybe Suggs makes the rocket alot better now. But i think its a toss up, because with Mobley you could have a very potent defensive team and he be like your next Chris Bosh. Chris bosh vs Jason Kidd. I think id take Bosh all day.

If you can relieve the defensive pressure off of Woods, and let him do his thing outside, maybe he would excel better. But i don't know if you are watching the Final 4 right now, Suggs looks like a #1 pick all day like he could be the next super star next to Cade. I think i go with Jalen Suggs after mini miny mo doing it 100 times lol. Suggs is going to be a superstar for sure.

I'm getting on the Sengun hype train. An 18 year old with passing vision, a crafty finesse based game, the ability to draw and convert freethrows at a high level, dominating an overseas league. Where have we heard this before?

Kidding (kinda). But yeah, I think Sengun is gonna draw a lot of buzz closer to the draft. I'm prepared for all the Jokic comparisons (I think he's closer to Scola or D.Sabonis). His projection is kind of all over. Some think he's lottery, some think he's second round/un-playable. I don't think he's straight up unathletic, but he's not likely to be an impact defender. Doesn't really have a 3 ball, but he's an 80% free throw shooter so you can be optimistic there.

Suggs hit a lucky shot. If we can get Cade or Mobley you take them over Suggs

Suggs will be a star! He has the it factor! He can guard the opponents best player! He has a good shot and a very good facilitator. That’s the recipe of a star.

I like Suggs. However, I think he going to have problems with NBA speed and length. He will be successful I am sure but I dont think that he is a franchise player type. He will probably be an allstar but he is best suited as second option on a good team in my opinion. Obviously he would be an infusion of talent and a good thing but I think I prefer the other 4 guys currently grouped in that top 5. Below are my comps for the top 5.

Cunningham: a less athletic but better shooting Grant Hill
    Mobley: Anthony Davis
    Kuminga: a bigger Jaylen Brown
Green: Somewhere between Eddie Jones and Kobe (Latrell Sprewell?)
    Suggs: skinnier Jason Kidd

If we draft Suggs, can we slide KPJr to the 2?

That's the thing, if you want KPJ to develop into Hardin II he needs to be the primary ball handler.

Yes, but KPJ will need touches to display his all round skills as a passer and a scorer. Right now, he is more of a 6th man type at best. He needs a year to develop at the least, particularly on defense. Will Suggs be able to adjust to that? I'm not sure, but my gut feeling tells me he can do that. None of this is possible until Wall retires or if he's unexpectedly traded. Cade remains my number 1 choice.

The thing about Suggs playing with kpj is that both have shown they can and are willing to play off ball. Neither have had the time in the NBA to become accustomed to having the ball in their hands and run the offense every single trip down court.

I think they could have a similar playing relationship as dame and CJ.

And Mobley or Green would NOT suck either.
