Marks has a part on it for hiring Dumbtoni but an average NBA coach should win with this much talent. So its more on Dumbtoni than Marks if they lose cuz although Marks is the one who hired Dumbtoni he also already stacked the deck enough for him to win easily.
I'm going to disagree here. I think Nash's experience as an MVP-level player is 100% the reason why the Nets have been able to get everyone to buy-in to checking their egos at the door. D'Antoni has the system knowledge, but Nash has the street cred to these players for trusting each other and making the sacrifices necessary to make the sum greater than the parts. Just imho, of course, but that's the way I see it.
There were steps like being among the primary markets, having the necessary cap space and having one of the heads of Alibaba as owner, a potent conglomerate. Then they hired Nash and MDA to lure in the best talents on Offense. If you didn't like the word 'buying' then assembling. It is the 'METAPHOR' for exerting power to getting things Done. Again having a smart owner and having the biggest market in the NBA helps out a lot, the Knicks just didn't have the owner and FO.
Their tax is going to be insane if all 3 extend. Their owner seems like he has no problem paying it either
A distinction without an effective difference.... The NBA for most of it's existence never had true parity.
The nets don’t really have fans Like the Lakers it’s just like oh hey everyone wants to go to this team Let’s do it
Harden is out again tomorrow. They're wisely being cautious and Kyrie should be able to handle the Bulls. Man, their bench might actually be better next year than this year. Kyrie was a Nets fan growing up in Jersey.
