Mayor Pete has been added to Biden's transition team. https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...ama-officials-added-to-bidens-transition-team
A cabinet position, and not one widely expected at the time of his endorsement of Biden. While it might seem odd at first blush to some, as it turns out, it puts Pete right in the middle of Biden’s massive infrastructure effort. How successfully Biden’s plans are implemented remains to be seen. I support most of what I’ve read about them, but the Democratic majority in Congress is slim and the chances of any Republican support for them slimmer still. Now that the R’s are outside of the room peeking through the door, so to speak, they suddenly spout a great interest in “bipartisanship.” An idea coming from them being the height of hypocrisy, in my opinion.
Ironically, his career pedigree that progressives derided during his run will likely a be a factor in his future success managing DoT.
