He's perfectly passive aggressive for the social media era

Is Dame secretly telling us he is constipated?

    Huh?

Dame is one of the few loyal superstars in this league. He’s criticizing other stars who quit on their organizations to form superteams, and you’re bashing him?

    Did I stutter?

F him and his passive aggressivenes, it's not like thats the only reason he has not made it out of the 1st round, was that a super team or buyouts that swept him with New Orleans?

Let's not act like super teams are what's kept him from having great playoff success.

It’s not a flex to be loyal to a company or a team. If ppl want to improve their job or team that’s what we should want for ppl. Stop gate keeping.

What? What does his tweet have to do with advancing in the playoffs?

I don't really like Dame as a player. I do like that he has stayed in Portland. I agree with him about the weakness of the ring chasing superstar.

It is a smart move on his part. As far as legacy goes, him getting one ring in Portland would be worth more than the 3 total that Durant will likely end up with. If he doesn't end up with a ring, he will still have a statue outside of Moda. There is value in staying with one team your entire career, even without winning. Getting a ring as the third best player probably wouldn't feel right to him. There is also a chance the team's ownership rewards him with a contract beyond his value towards the end of his career, similar to what the Mavs did for Dirk and even JJ Barea. I will never understand why certain role players give up $7M-$10M on a buyout just for a chance to get a ring as a bench player.

nobody cares or talks about Dame’s legacy...he could retire with no ring and it wouldn’t matter...that is not the case with a KD or a Harden...or a Lebron, Steph, etc because Dame isn’t on that level

if any of those players don’t win a ring, it’s a huge disappointment and they’ll get clowned forever...if Dame doesn’t win a ring, no one cares

Harden made multiple WCF and 2nd round appearances, and he was a choker and a disappointment...Dame got swept in the 1st round by the Pelicans averaging 18 points, and it was crickets...Dame got swept in the WCF by the Warriors after having a big lead in each game, and it was crickets

    there’s levels to this

Damian “Dame D.O.L.L.A” Trillard is a true professional and I hope he retires a Trail Blazer.

Really hope this generation looks to Dame as a role model. So much respect to him for staying there and sticking it out despite all this pressure to team up elsewhere.
