He is a good player than has some untapped ability that may or may not be realized. We don’t know if he is a player that can help a contender win because he has been on a bad team his whole career. Denver had to do something. They wanted either a PF or a SG. Once Gordon went public with a trade request, they shifted their interest from Oladipo to Gordon and they got the younger and at this point better player. We will see how this all works, but playing against Gordon in that aptitude surrounded by skilled players like Jokic and Porter and Murray is going to be hell... especially with their depth.
I love that move for them. I think you mean altitude but aptitude also relevant. I guess watching to see how their defense does or does not obtain a playoff gear will be the big question.
They have the most balanced team in the league. However, who is going to get the ball when they have to have a bucket is the question. I see them being the only team that can give Brooklyn any type of resistance, but they have to get past the Lakers and Utah first.
If Murray plays like he did in the last playoffs run, they'll be hard to beat. But if Murray stays inconsistent like he's been doing this season, then who knows. And if MPJ matures into a legit 3rd wheel... This team is still growing. They may be one more year away from being the top team in the West.
I think you are right. Murray has to be the guy for them to take the next step. Who knows, it might be this playoffs that he makes the jump. Djokic fills up a stat sheet but he's not the type that can take over a game anytime he wants.
Actually jokic does that. Look at his fourth quarter stats. He is at the top of list when it comes to fourth quarter stats down the stretch
As a Rocket fan, you want AG to do really well. This way Nuggets will be forced to choose between AG and MPJ next year. At that point, Stone may be able to offer his priced trade assets (FRP?) for MPJ. Perhaps, this is Stones grand plan for quick rebuild. Tank this year to possibly land in top 4. Go all in for young and upcoming player like MPJ next year?
Still early obviously but there’s plenty of reasons to like his fit in Denver. This team raised its ceiling a bit with his acquisition. They can definitely give the lakers/clips fits
@D-rock was right on the money about Gordon all these years. He really would've been a perfect fit on the Harden-D'antoni Rockets.
Harden has never had trouble with Jokic. He's basically unplayable against Harden. How would they even have a chance? 4-0 sweep and 20 point victories the whole way. Harden will put Jokic in a pick roll all game until he's on the bench.
