That looks good, taking away that somber tone makes a difference. Interested to see if they can pick the right directors for some of the other projects.
Would say better than the first, which doesn't say much, but what you got in that trailer is an attempt to re-create marvel banter. It's about time they tried to up the game to that standard, however, a little late for it to work now me thinks. It's going to come off as second rate mimicry. Thought Alba was very good in his scenes though and they needed that. But now they have to balance a dead pool like feel with Alba. Worth a look, but not expecting much.
Marvel did not create banter, so if its done right it will not reflect marvel at all nor look like mimicry.
Comical banter has been in movies forever. There was banter in Predator, hell Arnold has made banter a staple of his movies. Yes Marvel is known for it but so is Fast and Furious as well as Deadpool and many other movies. What makes it Marvel banter?
Think that Marvel's banter isn’t trading insults, or putting someone down, or an excuse for being mean. It’s a two-way interaction between people who see themselves as equals. Like Thor and Loki. Or Thor and StarLord. That's the banter you are looking for. In this trailer they are insulting a starfish and a wolf-weasel, but there is limited to no back and forth.

Words can not express my giant disappointment in this film. I had such high hopes with Gunn directing. It's better than the original but not near as good as guardians.
It was... ok. Eh. Not GotG quality. Maybe GotG2 quality? Most of the best moments were in the trailer, so I would advise against watching that again.
