Not harsh, just typical. Also, I've always assumed that UH was in the State of Texas. If they're not I'll stop rooting for them.
LOTS of teams that many thought should do well in this tourney took an early exit. See: almost the entire Big 10. Texas hardly alone...it's been a strange tournament. That said, probably was time for Smart to go. It's not that he was doing bad so much as he wasn't really doing good either. Certainly can't say anything about UT's exit. To exit, you have to make it in. Aggies were 0-0 in the tourney. ANY tourney (didn't make NIT either).
Should be a fun game, tons of athleticism and skill on both ends of the court for both teams. I'm actually getting nervous thinking about it...can't imagine how you'll get through the workday manana.
Not Mitchell's best game statistically, but a lot of good plays. That outlet pass steal at half court looked like safety snagging a pick. Got into foul trouble early, but cleaned it up and really steered the team in second half. He's capable of being more than a Patrick Beverley. His first step, athleticism, and offensive creativity are way better.
It took us 12 years from when this thread started, but we are 1 win away from the accomplishing the ultimate goal. Who could have thought where Scott Drew would take this program coming off of that embarrassing scandal (while I was a student of course). SIC EM. So close that we can taste it.
