Black Lives Matter activist claims white Jesus statues should come down because they're racist

Why don't BLM just invent their own religion instead of taking the white man's then claiming racism for everything they want to copy? It's a story and every group has come up with their own... so why don't BLM join the party?

 

Isn't it racist to fixate on the skin color of Jesus? He could have been black, brown, or white. The Levant is and has been full of people of a variety of skin tones regardless. Anyone too focused on that is A: not a Christian or B: Deviating too far from focusing on the teachings of Christ rather than his appearance.

 

Doesn’t matter when the church chose to put all of the writings into a “Bible,” what matters is when the material was first written.

the gospels were written waaay before “400 years after”...and other New Testament writings like Epistles of Paul (the apostle)were done while he was still alive.

The historical evidence for Jesus existing is very strong. He isn’t made up. He was a man who lived and had a skin tone. No one seriously debates this. Whether he was God or not is the more debated part.
