It will likely take 3 firsts to move up into the top five if our pick drops into the mid twenties in this draft.
Rockets’ Danuel House Loses 4 Family Members In A Car Crash: Sister-In-Law And Three Children Were Killed Lets send the man some love https://fadeawayworld.net/2021/03/2...sister-in-law-and-three-children-were-killed/
actually Philly got very unlucky. Joel Embiid spent his first two seasons injured. They also made a horrible mistake drafting Jahlil Oakafor #3 in the first round over guys like Porzingus, Miles Turner and Devon Booker. And let’s not forget former ROY draft bust and former Rocket, Michael Carter Williams. I’m betting they would probably have drafted Giannis if they could do it over again. Things like this set back Philly’s rebuilding a few years. Injuries and draft busts will make a difference. If Philly drafts Devon Booker over Oakfor for example, they might already have a championship. I’d also flag that Houston’s plethora of picks (including their own draft picks over next couple years) assures us a head start on Philly. I would have said that we still have assets to trade for even more picks but obviously our front office can’t be trusted to get that right.
Everyone needs to just relax and imagine that Kevin Porter Jr. was included in the Harden trade. KPJ and all of those picks is a helluva haul.
