Besides the Rockets current season. A spinoff thread from the latest Rockets' GARM thread. What are your favorite movies about tanks? Some selections 1984 was a good year for tanks. Whatever happened to Lori Petty? More recent
@VanityHalfBlack is killing himself for not thinking of this...his choice would have been Tank Girl vs Tank
This is the thread Clutchfans deserves but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt it, because it can take it. Because it's not a hero..
Fun silly Russian propaganda movie: Not exactly a pinicle of realism, but what is in the age of CGI? The Beast from 1988 about a Russian tank crew lost in Afghanistan was pretty good. Lebanon was solid and along the same lines - The last two do a really good job of painting the paranoia and isolation of being in a metal box with everybody outside trying to kill you. If you want to go really old-timey Humphry Bogart in Sahara was solid. Driving around the desert in a goofy lookin Lee tank with a sponson sticking out the side looking for water.
I don't remember it being great, but good for a recent Russian movie @Ottomaton, forgot about Lebanon, good call.
i don't know, but my memory of her is how hard she runs on her final homerun in a league of their own. legit looked like she was trying to win a real game. made the scene way better.
Interesting and might have to check it out. I've never read the comics and the only thing I really remember about Tank Girl was that it was Namoi Watts first major movie.
Not a movie, but there was an N64 game called Battletanks where you would be a tank and just try to blow up other tanks. It was actually pretty fun. Also fun, you could get the game to freeze every time if you laid multiple land mines on top of each other and then rolled over it. The explosion would be so big that the game would just freeze. It was always a satisfying way to end the game when you were ready to move on.
