You can see why Abreu is the first name Strom mentions the last couple years.

    Abreu a little spotty early.

Abreu looked better in the 2nd inning. He's got great stuff.

Good for Abreu, they'll need him.

It is nice that my work has the day after Opening Day off so everyone can sleep in after the 9pm CDT start.

Is it really that hard to make sure teams play teams in their time zone for the 1st game?

Isn’t Oakland playing in their time zone?

Yes. Oakland should be playing a team also in their time zone. I left out second teams in my post. Every team except Astros, A's, Angels, and White Sox are playing teams in their time zone or one time zone away. I know Astros will have to play God awful west coast games at some point, but Opening Day would be nice to be able to have a small gathering against the White Sox at a good time.

    I see.

I think opening day should not have night games regardless. I know some of it is for TV purposes but if you do want to make it truly special, and harken back to a time when the game owned the country, make them all day games.
