I don't by any means think this was a good trade. However, I think half of these reports/analysts are legit believing Olidipo is in 2017-2018 all star form. I'm sure these GM's actually did their homework, watched a lot of our games and thought to themselves "Man, this guy really isn't that great."

I wasn't expecting too much from this trade, more than this, but not much.

The return is so tiny on this trade, Stone would have been better off holding firm and letting him walk at the end of the contract for nothing.

Other GMs knowing u aren't an easy target is worth more than the pitiful return we got.

 

Why did anyone think Russ could net the 3rd or 8th pick in the draft during the offseason? CF constantly overrates what we have and invents narratives for why other teams will just part with some valuable stuff for players we steady call trash and scrubs on here because that’s how they’re playing. Other GM’s aren’t blind and dumb. We had people not wanting or acting like they’d be upset with receiving Tyler Herro in return for Oladipo as if Oladipo’s value was anywhere close to that to begin with. When it’s John Wall’s turn to get traded, we’ll have people talking about how he’s worth a mid-1st or a good young player because he’s expiring or some sh*t or the coach of team X likes vets and wants to win.

Seriously if you think this is a decent trade you are either a Tilman only fan or a Stone only fan.

No. "F" for "Fired" is enough. The result of the Harden trade was complete garbage. Chances are the Nets picks will end up garbage as well. Thunder loss of Harden to Rockets looks amazing right now.

Just getting rid of Oladipo is a good deal. Obviously the better deal would have been to have never picked up Oladipo in the first place, but that ship has sailed and there's no point in complaining about that now.

Oladipo was absolute garbage, so was PJ Tucker. Dumping those two is decent, but it would have been better if Gordon hadn't gotten hurt so we could have dumped him too.

Ever since Harden screwed over the team and fanbase by bailing after his actions destroyed the team, it was always top 4 pick or bust. That hasn't changed.

 

Yeah that part hurts. Wish the Rockets had held firm on pick protections like Riley did here when trading for Russ.

I'm impressed by how little we got in the Dipo trade. I thought we were gonna atleast get a super protected 1st or a late 2nd but this..... this is a bunch of nothing.

 

This trade haul is laughably low and I thought we'd get a highly protected first as well. This is better than a late second, though. There's a decent chance this allows us to move from late 20's next year (Nets pick) to late teens/early twenties. That's not all that much but it's also not quite nothing and definitely much better than a late second.
