In the month of March, Victor has averaged 25.4 points, 5.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds and a steal on 43/36/80 splits. He was playing fine.
after he refused to have anything to do with this franchise, it’s very easy to make the case that they salary dumped him
I have to disagree. Adding an injury prone older player to a back court of injury prone older players was a terrible bet, especially fir a rebuilding team...and you don’t have to be Nostradamus to have seen that. It actually could have been worse. Forgot not playing well; he could have gotten injured again. as it turns out he was worth nothing. The one thing everyone agreed on was that we couldn’t screw up the return fir Harden. Stone did.
his shot selection as a rocket was the worst i’ve seen on any level in 4 decades. and i’ve played 4on4 on remote tropical island sandcourts 3 hrs offshore
He could've been great or he could've gotten injured again, but neither of those things happened. The point is that it was a gamble. Outside of LeBron James there are no sure things. But why bet on mediocre players who'll just clog your cap? Again, I like the bet Stone made though not the results obviously.
If u are rebuilding maybe don’t gamble your best superstar asset on injury prone older players that have been out of the league for 2 yrs and that are looking to get overpayed in free agency.
When Harden left, he didn't leave a hole - he left a crater and the Rockets are caving in on all sides.
I agree with all of this, but you are wasting your time. Some of us have been saying this but most the board doesn't want to listen. They just want to complain and will find any reason to do so.
