Playing next to C-Wood? Not a chance in hell in my humble opinion. Vuc is an entirely different sort of player. You can throw the ball to Vuc. JA is closer to Capela. What did Atlanta pay for Capela again?
The answer is it depends. Moving up from #3 to #2 or something like that can be very costly, moving up from lets say #27 to #22? Depends on the players available and the teams... sometimes as much as a #1, and sometimes almost nothing.
Y'all do realize that the "upside" trading deadline pick up for a playoff teams rarely makes any major difference? Basically I don't really expect Dipo to really change Miami's record that much. Until Butler is fully healthy and playing every game and Herro magically breaks out of his slump, they will continue to be inconsistent.
did Oladipo play us? This isn't Stone, he is just in the position that was vacated quickly by Morey once he felt Tilllman's hedge clippers. This is all about the bottom line that is written on the paper. Olynyk and Bradley will simply cost less over a set period of time as compared to any other offers that came in.
Sure. Worth a flier for Miami. They only gave up a few slots in the 2022 draft with the hope Dipo helps them. Of course, if Butler gets hurt next year it could be a lottery pick.
Can you imagine the Rockets pulling the plug on the guy at 330 minutes. Sorry Kelly, we can't play you anymore, ownership orders. Silas would likely not find out until game time.
stone blew the biggest chance we had to rebuild by making a terrible harden trade. As part of that bumble he got Dipo and then bumbled any chance to trade him for real value. Waiting till the last minute was foolish and he was just plain wrong. He can’t escape that he botched Harden and then couldn’t get anything at all for Dipo
The short term returns will be amazing for Miami because Dipo's at least better or can bring more to the table than Olynyk and/or Bradley. But man once that extension is signed.....I will cringe at the numbers he's going to get to be their 3rd or 4th best player. You are the ones that trade for Oladipos and trade him again for crap. You don't want to be the ones to pay the Oladipos. or something to that affect.
I see a bit of a silver lining in that Oladipo might be just done as a great player, and with his iffy shooting and lack of passing abilities, the Heat might be getting a negative. But then again this is just wishful thinking on my part
Tilly might be nice and negotiate with Olynyk. "we'll play you 336 minutes if you agree to pay me back $900k. You still get $100k out of the deal, it's $100k vs. $0, you decide"
Looks like the League's GMs told Stone, " go sit in the corner, we'll call you if we need you." We already have Bradley and Olynyk. We just traded for Augustin and Wilson. You couldn't squeeze KZ into the deal? Just par for the 2021 season.
Dipo and his agent wanted Miami. Rockets got what they could. Stone doesn't determine the market. He only has control over what is available plus mix in player agendas. This is what you get.
