That's long-term money that the owner didn't want to pay. Same for J. Allen. We've been on a Donald Sterling path for a while now.

I assume Avery Bradley will want a buyout, but do we think Olynyk might actually help this team be more fun to watch at the very least as a big who can play off and spread the floor for KPJ and Wall?

Trying to be positive here guys.... trying... trying.....

A F&$K it... this is depressing.

    J. Allen saved the Rox 30M on top of a frp. Very few owners would take an expiring Allen over that.

Levert....yeah trading him for Dipo was dumb esp since Nets gave an additional pick for him. Rox could have just have had Levert and the 2nd rounded if they were gonna end up with Bradley, Olynk and a swap. Wtf.

But, didn't we just offer a 2 year extension to Dipo that he turned down?

I always assumed that we were going to flip him the entire time, but when Stone offered him that extension, I was like bro, of course he doesn't want to be a part of this sh*t show, smh...

Congrats, @dobro1229! You are hereby confirmed to be the first person to ever use "Olynyk" and "fun" in the same sentence!

Miami fleeced us completely. This trade was a disaster, no other way of looking at it unless they spend that money next season, which I think we all know isn’t going to happen...

I think I would have rather not traded him at all than admit to this kind of failure if I were Stone.

And that's the thing, it was said that they liked Dipo, they never intended on trading him. That was the mistake there.

I don't get how or why people thought the Rockets were going to get anything of value for Oladipo.

Dude's about to be a UFA that is prolly gonna sign with Miami after this season was over anyway.

Teams knew the Rockets were going to lose him regardless, so why give up big assets to the team they knew were in a bind?

Just be glad they got something.

It's just a dumb theory, but I believe that was coordinated smoke and mirrors by both sides trying to drive up his price for trades. The truth is he's only worth other expirings and a pick a swap because we all say him play.

let me get this straight: pairing an average shooting 2 guard with a poor shooting point guard, both coming off of horrific injuries where they haven’t played for two years, along with Eric Gordon, the model of health himself, was something folks couldnt foresee as a gamble with poor odds of success? Seriously bro, no disrespect but come on.

    We had leverage.

With Oladipo, the leverage was, “First rounder? Make me. Second rounder? Make me.”

And to make it worse, I'd rather be building around Ben Simmons and do the Philly deal instead then what we have now... We better nail 75 percent of all those picks or else we won't be relevant again for a decade, at least.

I'd rather do that too, but it's a win win for Tilman. There's higher upside with the tank and picks route, but also the downside is accompanied by much cheaper payroll. I'm one of the few who doesn't hate the deal. I do hope he sells at some point during the rebuild though, or has a Sterling like scandal.

Was the pick swap we picked up valuable at least? What was it again?? All this has me confused...
