If Tilman is the reason why even a Dipo trade can’t get done, then we are seriously just fcked for the future. Cade, Mobley, etc...Would it even really matter in the long run?

bad ownership and front offices are what keep some of these teams in an endless cycle of garbage with no way out

This s**t comes from poor ownership. I'm sure Stone had some deals he could have made, even if they suck, and Tilman shut him down.

I'm not saying Stone is a great GM, just that no GM under this f**ker will ever be able to concentrate solely on the best interest of the franchise.

 

It's gonna be a rough 2nd half of the season with Wall/Dipo/Wood all playing to win, and us still gunning for our top 4 pick. If we keep sitting guys randomly to lose, they're gonna grow unhappy, and we're going to look worse as an organization.

Orlando is right behind us in the top-pick race and is all-in on their tank now. I'm sure some of the other bad teams are gonna start dropping off as well. Trading Dipo was something we needed to do

Originally, I thought Oladipo was a nice piece in the Harden trade, but given his play, his disinterest in a realistic extension, and what now appears to be his inability to be traded, he's worse than dead weight as far as I'm concerned.

Whoever made the call to trade for him should be ****ing fired. I'm really sick of this team overvaluing assets and then not getting any long term value or return. It happened with Chandler Parsons, it happened with Dwight Howard, it happened with Goran Dragic, and it happened with Eddie Griffin. At this point, I would not be surprised if Wood is allowed to walk at the end of his contract, with the Rockets holding their dicks in one hand and the weight of John Wall's contract in the other.

I don't understand the massive disappointment here. This isn't like when we were F5ing like crazy to see if Bosh was going to sign here a few years back. We have a trash team with a trash Dipo that couldn't really be moved for anything of needle-moving value because he is trash. This isn't some colossal set back.
