    We have known for sometime there are copy cats of mass shooting... the media has been asked to please not focus on the killer but the victims but of course, clicks are powerful incentive.

    Anyhow, there is actually a field for these kind of thing - violence epidemiology.

    Not limited to just mass shooting. Gun violence in the US is an epidemic problem.
