    Tres leches, Red Velvet or Chocolate with whipped frosting. None of that buttercream bullshit.

    My mom is a heck of a baker, whereas I am dessertly-limited, so I'm asking her for a tres leches, bread pudding, cheesecake of some variety, or tiramisu (I realize I am being pretty generous with the definition of "cake"). I also have a soft spot from my childhood for a basic yellow layer cake with chocolate frosting.

    Also a fun band to see live.

    Growing up the tradition was my mom making german sweet chocolate cake and it was amazing. My wife now makes be the best pineapple upside down cake I've ever had.

    I love carrot cake and plain cheesecake with graham cracker crust.....but sometimes just a yellow or white cake with light whipped cream frosting
