It would be a pretty boring if a show called "Warrior" based upon an outline from Bruce Lee didn't have a lot of fighting.

Also the metrics might be skewed because Asian Americans in places like California, where there are more Asians and representation in society, are probably more likely to report such crimes and speak out. If you're the only Asian living in Vidor, Texas (extreme example I know) and you get attacked by some white supremacists while walking around the neighborhood, you'd probably be more scared to speak up and report hate crimes for fear of retribution and having a burning cross show up in your front yard.

As a person of Asian descent I can confirm that I feel exponentially more comfortable when there are other Asians around because at least I know someone is going to have my back if some racists want to lynch me or attack me for being Asian. I drove across the US from NY to CA 10 years ago and had the chance to see the heartland of America, and in many places, based on the stares and glares, I was probably the first Asian person some of those folks had ever seen in person (source: confirmed with one waitress in Winnemucca, NV that I was the first Asian customer to step foot in the establishment).

I'll just say this and im out

Lauren Chen, Michelle Malkin and JuJu Chang are cowards who are trying to get in the good graces of caucasians by not calling out the anti-asian attacks committed by latinos and whites as well. The media is making it seem like its just black people, when thats not the case

Too afraid to go againist daddy signing the checks, instead yall wanna come after a weak target in african americans

I have no beef with asian people, my girlfriend is filipino, and mostly asians and nigerians are cool with each other. But i dont like the singling out of black folk by the media when this is a nationwide problem independent of race and nationality

Soooo, I was going into the grocery store last week. I'd just parked my Jeep and started to walk into the store when I heard loud shouting and cursing coming from the Whataburger next door. It appears that there was a guy who refused to wear a mask inside and had been asked to leave. His reaction was to start throwing chairs and cursing out the staff. So he's now out in the parking lot screaming and cursing at the manager when he happens to look over my way where he sees an elderly Asisn lady who was slowly loading groceries in her car. He immediately turns his attention to her and starts to walk in her direction screaming and cursing at her - saying this was all the fault of F'ing Ch**ks like her. He also called her a "slant eyed b***h".

That poor woman was absolutely terrified so I stepped in between them and told her to go ahead finish loading her groceries. I told her I'd wait until she was able drive away. That guy was advancing on her and had raised his fist as if he was going to actually hit that poor woman! Anyway, he then turned his attention to me and started cursing at me calling me a f*****g coon a** n****r and so on. Thankfully that poor woman was able to drive away safely. It was at this time the police drove up (the Whataburger manager must have called them). Cop gets out of his vehicle and all I did was point toward the guy who by this time had "suddenly" decided to stop screaming (imagine that). Last I saw of him he was being placed into the back seat of the police SUV. We truly live in crazy times.

Good job. Sucks that in this day and age that kind of behavior would happen. Why would anyone think that behavior was okay?

I've been hearing a lot from other Asians about uneasy they've been feeling about being out alone. It's been concerning for Asians living in places where there are few other Asians such as most of the Midwest.

Good job and would hope any of us capable would do the same thing for an elderly women no matter what the race.

This is another example though of what is really worrisome about this whole situation that a disproportionate amount of attacks have been on women and the elderly.

Quite true. In Garland where I live there is a sizable Asian American community and I've noticed just how nervous they appear when out in public places like grocery stores, Walmart, Target, etc.. Women are shopping in pairs and aren't taking their young children along like before. I find this very troubling especially now since any fool could be packing a gun. You just never know anymore. Just yesterday, there was a guy who caused a chain car wreck on I-35N in Carrollton. He gets out of his car, pulls a knife and starts stabbing people who stopped to help. When some guys tried to stop him, he pulled a gun out as they wrestled with him on the ground. I've also seen road rage incidents in the last 3 months where guys are actually chasing each at high speeds - weaving in and out of traffic on crowded freeways while pointing guns at each other. I fear that even worse things are coming.
