I get that logic but Dipo is a better player than Herro. He kind of fits that culture and when the shot isn't falling, he can play D and attack the rim. I think it could happen IMO. They took the L when not trading for Harden but they can keep other pieces by trading for Oladipo, even re-sign him.

Agreed. Dipo is a 3rd piece on a team, Herro is a 4th-6th. Different tiers of value, even if Dipo is at the bottom of his tier and Herro is at the top of his.

Fitness is the key here. A healthy Oladipo is definitely a valuable piece on a contender. He isn't able to play back to backs, let alone succeed in them.

He isn't eligible to be included in a trade this year. He's talented, but he can only be an addition to another important all round player. That's not going to happen unless Wood is included imo.

I think about matchups as well specifically when vs Nets.

    Butler on Harden
    Dipo on Irving
    Bam... who guards Bam?

They just signed Ariza too, don't know how reliable he is at his age but hasn't really played last few years. Ariza on KD? They will probably have a combo of Dragic, Duncan, Nunn, Precious as well. Might even be able to get a buyout player.

Small ball doesn't work will never work - it is a fad.

Look at the Lakers - how tall is Lebron and Anthony Davis?

When you have like skilled players always take the taller one.

Just think he could block PJ all day with his arms in this position.

I have spoken to Ewing, Olajuwon, O'Neal, and the Admiral about small ball centers. Ewing licked his chops, Olajuwon pulled out a knife and fork, O'Neal put on a bib and the Admiral said when's dinner?

Interesting. I thought we were gonna wait until the day after the trade deadline to trade him. Bold move, Stone.

Mobley is an interesting player. Reminds me of Ralph Sampson, face up athletic big that shoots well and multiple skills. On a rookie contract that is worth the investment. Unique player with high ceiling.
Rox are extra small and lack shooters. I am talking adding athletic 3/D players in the 6'8" to 6'10" range. We now have 2 players in that range. Too many 6'6" and under players. Do not need average 7 footers clogging up the middle to have success in 5 out system. Need shooters, switch defenders etc. Rox don't have enough shooters or lengthy defensive players in this system. Don't know if system works until they get the right players. I agree 6'5" centers small ball is not good. The draft is key. Develop from within.

Actual news from Woj on the decline? Just thought it was odd the way it was said.

So we're gonna pretend the "Death Lineup" didn't win rings. Gotcha.

It was a lineup, but their versatility and ability to play small and big.......the Rockets went all in on one style, it makes it easy to prepare for....GS was able to play matchup with any style.

I here you. I agree they might be able to acquire a buyout player. We just have to wait and see if Riley will blink. I think the most that he might offer is Robinson and Iggy for Dipo. That's not worth it imo. They also have Harkless. Ariza will probably get fewer minutes than him.

Stone should laugh and hang up. If they are offering this, they better have 3 first round picks attached.
