Philly, Miami or NYK. I want all of them desperate and hungry for Dipo. Nets are going all the way otherwise.
He's not washed, but he's not what this team needs currently. If all we can get is 2 SRP and some expirings then you take it. The Rockets signing Dipo would make sense paired with a trade for AG.... but I'd be pretty disappointed if the Rockets took that route.
1st rounder and Achiuwa, but i don't see Miami give up the pick for Lowry, that could be a key piece for them to try to trade for Beal or another all star caliber player, which is what they clearly want. My guess is they low ball Toronto offering a mix of trash like Duncan Robinson (who i bet they don't want to overpay in free agency), Nunn etc.
Here is a proposal for both @D-rock and @treyk3. Rockets can also add the Washington FRP and send to the Magic.
Thats a partial truth but not going to relitigate trade. Talking strictly about value of 2 players in the here and now. If you prefer a more direct comparison, which has the more value right now: Dipo + Exum + Kurucs + Bucks FRP vs. Caris + JA + Prince
I should say Shams is not much better with Trade Deadline rumors Woj/Shams were never rumor guys. They are guys who had inside connections to the NBA office to get first word of official Trade Calls being requested. They are definitely first to official announcements!! but rumor accuracy, not so much Lately, their jobs are partially to add credibility to co-workers to build their followings. But because of that, GMs and agents now are using them to float leaks that help their Team or Player.
I actually don’t believe they can trade any of their current first round picks. The pick they owe OKC starting in 2023 is protected through 2025, then unprotected in 2026, which means the Stepien rule would also prevent them from trading their 2027 pick. So if they are dealing a pick, it’s because they traded one of their young guys for one, or were able to renegotiate with OKC (unlikely).
Without a doubt, I’m with you on that. Should have kept Caris and Allen. But that’s a separate trade altogether. We made the best Harden trade we possibly could. So Simmons is irrelevant. Daryl was f***ing around, not including Maxey, not having enough picks, putting protections on picks, etc. It is what it is.
He was limited on what he could offer as far as draft capital, which is apparently what the team valued most.
If this true, I always doubt anonymous executive sources, then hold on to Dipo and package him in trade up in the draft. There is no hurry here.
