Why doesn’t Clyde Drexler call our games anymore?

Can’t wait until he’s called up to coach the big club.

 

Great player. Not so good announcer. Reminds me of that captain obvious on the commercials

 

Worrell only watches the games a little bit more than Clyde does.

 

No wonder I haven't been as annoyed with the commentary.

Drexler was probably the worst announcer ever

I remember when Bill and Murphy called games and that was the best duo by far...

replace Murph with Drex and you instantly have the worst crew in sports.

 

thank god he's not. if i had to hear "night in and night out" one more time i might go postal.

I remember reading that a long time ago. And at the end he praised Doris Burke as being perfect and amazing. I agree for the most part though haha

 

I honestly didn’t even notice until somebody mentioned it a few games ago

Clyde is far too dignified to subject himself to the bullsh*t that is the 20-21 Rockets season

while Bill and Bull are preparing for the game, Clyde is at the golf course chillin...he was probably doing that when he was actually calling games too, but now he doesn’t have to waste his evening watching basketball abomination in person at Toyota Center

Good point. Probably cares more about UH than the Rockets. Look what he did to those horrible uniforms!

 

Yes Clyde is not a coach. Good recruiter because he was a big name, but his heart was not into coaching while he was there. He didn't commit on what needed to be done. Don't get me wrong, I love Clyde, great guy, Houston Legend. Although still disappointed in his Dancing with the Stars Appearance, he was awful.

 

One of the greatest players to play the game, but one of the worst announcers in history.

Anyone actually know the reason for this? Thought it was weird I couldn't find any news about it.

 

I actually liked Clyde.

 

Clyde wasn't that bad, but honestly, this thread is the first time I noticed he wasn't announcing. He definitely is no legend on the mike.

 

Clyde was absolutely horrible in the broadcast booth.

If Tilman made the decision to axe Clyde then Tilman deserves that credit.
