Yeah ultimately this is the right path. Impatience will be tested. The reality is the west is tough and Fertitta & co need to look big picture and be willing to "suffer" through a couple of bad years if it means a better (though not quicker) chance of getting out of the suckage/mediocrity purgatory. Otherwise they're risking being in-between stages and being a Sacramento, New York, Minnesota or even Dallas the last few years of Dirk and first year of Doncic.

Unless there's potential superstar talent coming into Houston then no way in hell should the Rockets try and acquire any more heavy, long contracts or give away draft capital.

If the reports were true, offering two 1st round picks for Aaron Gordon is nuts!
Having my doubts on Stone right now

    Sam Amick is no Woj.

But I'm resigned to whatever happens.

He's pretty connected but like we've heard, this could be Houston low-balling because he won't commit or it could be Houston not willing to deal with a third unhappy player after Harden and Oladipo.

Depends. I could see the bucks swap and the nets pick next year being traded away as late first rounders.

Just heart broken because his lack of interest in us. I respect him and we should move on from him. Please do not bring him in anyway.

Aaron Gordon has accomplished nothing in the NBA - he's put up mediocre stats and he does not win, yet he's demanding to be traded to a contender?

He's delusional - even if he wants to come here, the Rockets shouldn't give up any draft assets, he's just not that good an NBA player.

I hope to God we're not really chasing this guy. Nothing personal, AG has game. But it's what he represents. Already trying to shortcut the true rebuild. Chances are very slim we'll ever get there if they go this route. C'mon Tilly....let the whole organic deal happen. We're set up to finally crank it out.

Gross. This guy will get us nowhere. With all due respect, why the hell would the rockets even think about this? GTFOH

Boston, you can have him. No way I would give up 2 1sts for a diva.

If I were Orlando, all things equal, I wouldn't deal to a contending team in the
like the Celtics. Deal with a bottom team like Rockets. :p

This is where I'm leaning. Evan is PAC-10 Player of Year, Def Player of the Year and Frosh of the Year. He's a stick, but looking at his brother, he should hopefully begin to fill out. He seems like a really smart player, doesn't try to do anything out of the game flow, good feet and instincts and add'l length would be nice.
