I've been able to watch most of the game. Abreu looked good. However, the Mets brought the B team. Lindor, Conforto, McNeil, Alonso, JD Davis, and Nimmo were not in the lineup. Cishek was struggling with command. He gave up 2 singles (one was an infield hit) but also had a hard hit out. He left a few pitches up, but got out of the inning without giving up a run. Raley was not sharp and gave up a run on a double that was smashed to the left field wall.
I agree. I like the overlay when showing different pitches from the same tunnel to show the different movements, but the overlay doesn't add anything for three pitches thrown in different tunnels.
He's looked like Altuve in brief outings I've seen. Hit the ball hard, but swinging at too much junk as usual (though still getting contact as usual). Got some wind luck one game and hit into a triple play into another. I've not noticed his running which is likely a good thing. Applicable to almost every Astro...he's not on a hot streak, but no reason to think he won't have some this season.
Blue Jays just got double punched in the dick. Kirby Yates likely needs TJ surgery and Springer has a grade 2 oblique strain. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021...rgery-george-springer-has-oblique-strain.html
No surprise but Souza to be released from his minor league deal. Battle between Siri and McCormick. Apparently Siri is out performing McCormick but McCormick has the inside track because he's on the 40 man roster. Siri might be here on a invite.
