The only problem with that ray of sunshine being blown up Minnesota's ass by an industry trade group is that the mining industry in America and Canada has a horrible environmental record ("but we're not as bad as 3rd world countries!") and routinely resists various levels/types of regulation.
1. No one likes Kevin McHale in Minnesota. Having any association with the Timberwolves does not engender any goodwill here. Yes he drafted Kevin Garnett but he also was responsible for the Joe Smith trade debacle. 2. The irony of an ad promoting mining in Minnesota to prevent environmentally destructive mining in other countries is quite laughable given that much of the proposed new mining in Minnesota threatens the boundary waters.
