Watching Cade Cunningham against Oregon State in the tournament. I don’t see why this guy is such a big deal. He got a shot blocked on a three point attempt and has really low energy. Would rather have Evan Mobley or Jaylen Green. Both of those guys have huge upside. Cunningham just doesn’t look very athletic and he’s really skinny, so I don’t see him standing up against the stronger guards in the NBA. The other thing that stands out is that he doesn’t really drive and distribute the ball well. It’s the NCAA tournament and so far he only has 1 assist with 10 minutes to go in the second half.
I have to say I have seen absolutely nothing special out of Cunningham. Barely got out of the first round playing an awful game, about to get his ass handed to him by a lower seed in the second round and is helpless to do anything about it. Jaylen Green is growing on me, but by far the most can't miss prospect is Suggs. Cp3, deron Williams, Brandon Roy combo. Yall probably too young to remember cp3 pre knee injury when he was one of the most athletic pgs, but I was talking more on the defensive end for that comp.
Cunningham getting his mid range straight up stuffed back in his face by college players that will never sniff the nba is a sure sign of a generational talent.
Cunningham isn't even getting the ball down the stretch, his own teammates and coach don't even respect him as a closer. #leadership
The one in a 50 point blowout? He ran the team and got out the way. If he was down 10 like Cunningham is right now you can be damn sure he will be taking over.
This Oregon st team can barely break a trap it is honesty embarrassing but they don't seem to have a problem stuffing Cunningham over and over, and over again. Cunningham looking like a ham sandwich.
Forget a good game, show me one move at least that screams generational talent. One pass, one moment. So far what's screaming the loudest is "FRAUD".
Green playing against pros in the g league, while cade is struggling in the tournament. Cade has the tools, not sure who we should draft.
I mean you saw why they weren't going to him down the stretch, they were as tired of watching brick after brick as the rest of us.
Came to post something similar about Cunningham. He also airballed two 3PTs in the final minutes. I haven't watched enough tournament to speak on other players.
