People say unpredictability .. . .well it is
I watch it and have NO IDEA what we trying to do

On PNR . . why do our bigs fade to the 3 pt line?
Why is our idea of cutting going in from the 3pt line elbow through the lane by the free throw line then back to the other elbow.?

    I AM MISSING IT
some of you guys are better basketball analyst than me
I have seen you put together breakdowns of the plays

WHAT AM I NOT SEEING . . .what are we *TRYING* to do??

Is it our players are incabable of doing it?

    Without Harden in the Game
What can we expect to see?

Gotta see the forest through the trees.

Harden has been able to do what he wants and play how he wants... Silas trying to install a new offense isnt what broke the camels back and going back to Harden ball wont change anything. Installing a new offense when your franchise player wants to get traded is impossible. I wouldn't put too much judgement into Sila's philosophies at this point.

I don't see it as having players unable to do the tasks, but having a rudderless team.

There's no way to properly judge Silas offense until we see it without Harden OR with a bought in and invested version of Harden.

Right now Harden is basically an unwilling cog disrupting the entire system.

It's like a pasta recipe. You can't judge how terrible or great the actual recipe is if the tomatoes (the primary ingredient to make the sauce) is spoiled.

When you have a player as disruptive as Harden, it's impossible to tell. Silas first job as head coach is trying his best to pacify one of the NBA's largest divas in both meanings of the word "largest".

Silas hasn't been impressive. This team is small and the attention to detail is glaring especially defensively.

    So let's revisit this.
What EXACTLY is the Offensive strategy

If it is to get open 3's . . .. . . .what is the point in that if we only hit 28% of them?
Maybe I am indoctrinated in past philosphies but I see far far too many LONG 2s for my tastes
Isos lead to runs at the basket or long 2s
The ONLY PERSON that seems to make it to the basket off ball movement is TATE (the guy is a wonder - DO NOT TRADE HIM!!! LOCK HIM UP!!)

@heypartner - You break down film well . . .what are you seeing?

Don't really care about how good his coaching is at this point.

The question is down the line when we do have a bit of a consistent roster with talent can he bring out some wins.

Rick carlisles mavs looked like garbage between Dirk and Luka

Roster is really bad so its hard to tell. I would have preferred Finch though.

If the Rockets were hitting open 3s his offense would be fine - but they are not

that’s a talent issue not a coaching issue
