Surprise surprise.... Mother Russia's "Strongman" superhero legend of a leader is actually a thin skinned brat who can't handle getting called out. I see the way Nevalni was handled, and this response as a sign that Putin is very insecure about his position in Russia, and is worried... very worried. I think people don't realize that the Russian Oligarchs could control the country as easy as he thinks he controls them. If the Oligarchs wanted to, overnight they could decide to overthrow him, and hand him over to interpol to be put in jail the rest of his life. Putin has a handful of true believers in his cabinet like Trump had, but the majority of the power behind Putin's reign over Russia is only interested in money. The Trump people, and the Republicans thinking Putin is this superhero who will have everlasting power we all need to bow down to is utter stupidity. This guy is weak. That's why he responds the way he does. It's not because he's powerful... it's because he's struggling to keep power. Going after Biden because he's old is ridiculously stupid. Don’t really care about Russia, they are insignificant and lack the political or economic power to make a dent in the USA. the concern should be China, who have their own struggles, but their government is evil.
Good for Biden. Putin has created a huge PR machine to portray himself a certain way (winner and shrewd). His popularity benefits from it greatly, but lately his PR machine is faltering. In big part thanks to Navalnyj's corruption-expose videos. Economic news are bad and the government seems progressively more and more repressive in dealing with political opposition. Also, Russian media promoted US candidate of choice (Trump) had lost - ie no geopolitical wins lately. They are suppressing opposition so hard that Biden's label of a "killer" might actually stick. That would mean that either people start to dezombify from the indoctrination or the government will possibly have to start some pro democracy reforms to fight back the bad PR. Least he can do after the election meddling and the most recent cyber attacks. Make them squirm
