Blowing it all up! Which is mostly true whether or not they trade Wall...but if blowing it up and resetting..why wouldn't they?
It's pretty clear what the Rockets are doing...resetting. So, blow it up pretty much applies regardless. If resetting, why not trade Wall? Does anyone think he is worth his salary, on a rebuilding team? Even on a non rebuilding team?
Because no sane GM is going to trade for Wall's remaining $90 million after this season unless you're also throwing first rounders or other assets to him as part of the deal. I don't buy any rumor about Wall getting traded unless the Rockets are including assets or they're getting a terrible contract in return. Miami just doesn't make any sense to me—Riley is too smart to make that trade. I do agree with you that trading John Wall makes a ton of sense from a personnel perspective. But I just don't believe there's a trade to be made out there that doesn't hurt your rebuild in the process.

Man, Minnesota looking WAY better is lowering the value of that Minny pick. If GSW misses the protection and it bounces to next year, that might be a 15-20 pick as opposed to a top 5 one. AED is the real deal.
I wonder if the Hawks are interested if they would consider a double sign and trade Dipo + picks for Collins in the offseason? Such a plan is the only way I am keeping Dipo. Even if the return is a couple of seconds and an expiring.

If the market for Oladipo is 2 2nds, he’ll be a Rocket after the deadline. At this point I’m holding out hope on a middle of the pack FRP and a flier like a Kevin Knox type. Otherwise I think a S&T will be more lucrative.
