Fencing is pretty cool. Does your friend want to fence leisurely or competitively? There's a fencing club in Clear Lake offering classes [http://www.clfc.org/] My coaches are teaching there There's also Salle Mauro but that's an evil place.. oooh I wanted to take kickboxing.. then I realized I was gonna get hit in my face so... yeah
When you go to college, Ann, I hope you'll look up your ballroom dancing club. If you know how to fence, you should have good instincts for latin dance. The last picture I saw of you also had you looking very pretty. That always helps an image sport. If it doesn't interest you, nevermind. What I was thinking is you should have an awareness of your body and the rhythm of working with/against another person, with reference to space and line. So, instead of killing your partner, you could roll into a throwaway oversway. At the least you'll pick up some salsa, but you should have superior talent for more, as desired. UH will have it's social and ballroom club again in the summer. We just finished for the semester. It's cheap and fun, whoever's interested. Happy birthday, enjoy your party. Are you taurus or gemini?
Mike Wilkes would do it.... Yeah, where's the Clear Lake place? I live over there so it'd be good to look prepared when I come home with a plan. I only worked with foils once for a play I did, and it was fun except for the part where Tybalt missed not missing me and poked me in the side. It wasn't bad at all but I played it up to get back at him and because hey why not. Guy poked me with a blunt object. It hurt. What were we talking about? And that's why I like Junior Mints.
I'm not much of a dancing person, but now that you brought it up, I'm really gonna look into it. Sounds really interesting. And I'm a taurus Here's a map of the ClearLake fencing place. When yall did that play, yall didn't wear the whole gear thing [jacket, mask, cup, etc]? LoL EEEEK Mike Wilks!!!! Yay Happy early Birthday to me and Mike Wilks
Nah just gloves, but I wouldn't call the swords we were working with exactly dangerous. They had the ball at the end. I think most people are coordinated enough not to injure someone with one of those... unless of course they're extreme drunken fencing. Yeah, that fencing club is in Seabrook, so I'll check it out. Is it really easy-going or are there "fencing snobs"? Any way to act? Thanks
